Ante is a PhD student in Chemistry, enrolled at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. He works at the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC), in the Electrocatalysis lab, at the Department of Materials Chemistry. His main research focus is on the stability and activity analysis of oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts for proton exchange membrane fuel cell applications, along with their synthesis. In the upcoming months, Ante will learn and perform online dissolution analysis of ORR catalysts that were synthesized at the NIC labs, where they are currently experimenting with dispersing Pt-Co alloy nanoparticles on different supporting materials as a way to stabilize the alloy nanoparticles. The goal of the online dissolution analysis that Ante will perform here is to detect a potential decrease in the dissolution of Pt-Co nanoparticles due to strong metal-support interactions.
